Steel Engineer

We are seeking a highly qualified Structural Steel Engineer to oversee and manage the engineering lifecycle of structural steel projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, technical design, engineering reviews, fabrication oversight, and ensuring seamless execution in compliance with statutory regulations and quality standards.

• • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive structural steel experience (UAE/GCC market exposure required).
• • Language: Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred (written and verbal) along with professional English.
• • Licensing: UAE Driving License is highly preferred; Society of Engineers UAE membership is an asset.
• • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and STAAD.Pro/ETABS.
• • Status: Based in the UAE with a transferable visa; immediate availability preferred.
• • Structural Engineering & Analysis: Execute complex structural design calculations, stress analyses, and load evaluations for structural steel frameworks and secondary steelworks utilizing industry-standard engineering software.
• • Technical Review & Detailing: Review, audit, and approve comprehensive shop drawings, connection details, fabrication methodologies, and as-built drawings to eliminate design discrepancies.
• • Estimation & Procurement Support: Generate precise Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Provide rigorous technical evaluations of supplier bids, materials, and subcontracting proposals.
• • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all design, fabrication, and erection activities strictly adhere to international engineering codes (AISC, Eurocode, British Standards) as well as local municipal regulations and HSE standards.
• • Cross-functional Coordination: Act as the primary technical liaison between the design office, fabrication workshops, site project teams, and client representatives to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
